NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
UNIVERSITY VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Deadline for Nominations: Friday, February 19, 2010
The University Volunteer of the Year Selection Committee is now accepting applications for the 2010 University Volunteer of the Year Award. Nominations must be received by Friday, February 19, 2010, in order to be considered. Anyone can nominate a Fresno State student for this award. Self-nominations are also accepted.
The University Student Volunteer of the Year Award honors Fresno State students who have made a difference in our community through exceptional gifts of their time and talent. Simply nominating a student affirms and celebrates their efforts to improve the quality of life for all of us in Central California.
The University Volunteer of the Year Award Selection Committee will use the following criteria to select an award winner:
1) Proof of extraordinary commitment to direct service that has a demonstrable impact on an issue or need in the Central Valley.
2) Preference will be given to students who are involved in volunteer (non-paid, non-stipend) service.
3) Service to the university can be included and will be considered as part of the nomination, but the primary emphasis will be on direct service and community impact outside the university itself.
4) Nominees must be a currently enrolled student at California State University, Fresno.
Any questions can be directed to Renee Delport by email at rdelport@csufresno.edu or by calling 278-7063.
Full nomination packets, including the required nomination form, can be obtained by contacting Renee Delport at rdelport@csufresno.edu, or by calling 278-7063.
We hope that you will help us honor those students who give so much to our community by nominating a student who you feel is worthy of the University Volunteer of the Year Award.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/peterfortuna/ / CC BY 2.0 After a few annoying Firefox crashes I figured out that Shockwave Flash was freaking out on me. How I Figured It OutI figured out it was Shockwave Flash plugin by visiting seveal gaming sites and watching the cursor spin and spin. I had to Force quit the browser on my 10.6 by going to Mac->Force Quit->Firefox. I restarted Firefox and disabled all the add-ons by Firefox->Tools-Add-Ons. Went back to a gaming site. The site asked me to install Flash. I then re-enabled Shockwave Flash 10.1.x and watch the browser crash. |
