In AY 2008-09, the university provided in excess of 920,000 hours of service to our community. This includes the personal community service completed by faculty and staff. Does this number include you?

As the 2009-10 year comes to a close, the Richter Center reminds you to report your personal service hours!

Reporting your service is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!
1) Log into your My Fresno State account
2) Select “Volunteer Record” under the Employee Self Service Section

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SPRING 2011

The university will begin accepting applications for admission for the spring 2011 semester on August 1, 2010. The application deadline is August 31, 2010.

Applications will be accepted from students in the following categories:
Returning Upper Division Students: Previously matriculated and enrolled at Fresno State and have completed 60 or more baccalaureate level units.
Upper Division Transfers: Applicants who have completed all transfer admission requirements by end of summer 2010.

Ernesto Martinez Memorial Program and Reception June 10 in UDH

Friends and colleagues of Ernesto Martínez are invited to a memorial program and reception to celebrate his life on campus on Thursday, June 10, immediately following his funeral services.

The memorial reception, approximately 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., will be in the University Dining Hall. Parking for off-campus guests is relaxed in Lot G.

The funeral services for Ernesto, emeritus professor of Chicano and Latin American Studies and alumnus of California State University, Fresno, are tonight and Thursday.

The Division of Continuing and Global Education invites you to join us for another Travel Night presentation on Wednesday, May 19, at 6:00 pm, when we will preview three of our 2011 travel study destinations:

Shockwave Flash and Firefox

After a few annoying Firefox crashes I figured out that Shockwave Flash was freaking out on me. 

How I Figured It Out

I figured out it was Shockwave Flash plugin by visiting seveal gaming sites and watching the cursor spin and spin.  I had to Force quit the browser on my 10.6 by going to Mac->Force Quit->Firefox.  I restarted Firefox and disabled all the add-ons by Firefox->Tools-Add-Ons.  Went back to a gaming site.  The site asked me to install Flash.  I then re-enabled Shockwave Flash 10.1.x and watch the browser crash.
